Let's talk about skincare regimens!
Do you have a skincare regimen? Do you know what it means to have a skincare regimen? I know skincare regimens can feel like a daunting task…Let's dive into reasons you should adopt a daily regimen for your skin. I recommend you have 3 different regimens...yikes, I know that sounds like a lot of work. Hear me out first! Okay, first things first
Daytime regimen: It is important to have a daytime regimen because you need to cleanse & remove all the toxins that have pushed out of your skin during night. Yes, toxins! Have you ever woken up to find your skin has an oil film on it and your pores look kind of largely visible? That my friends is why you need to cleanse your face in the AM. A simple skin nourishing regimen is all you need for the morning. Do not skip the sunscreen…
AM Skincare regimen steps:
- Cleanser
- Toner
- Moisturizer
- Sunscreen
Nighttime regimen: Now nighttime is a little different when it comes to regimens! You need to wash the environment off your face before bed. Also, remember those toxins that were on your skin from the nighttime before you did your daytime regimen? This is why it’s important. The nighttime regimen helps the skin push out toxins. Our skin regenerates and rejuvenates overnight. In the PM is where our skin needs to be treated.
This is where it’s essential to use our serums, rollers, masks, creams etc. At night you need to be sure you are using your enzymes, anti-aging, treatment products etc. These are the products that help in the regeneration process to transform your skin.
Now don’t get me wrong, you can absolutely use these products in the AM as well, but I am giving you a fast solution for the AM because that is usually when we are in a rush!
PM Skincare regimen steps:
- Cleanser
- Toner
- Serum
- Moisturizer
- Face oil or balm
Okay, remember I said 3 regimens? The third regimen is your weekly regimen. In your weekly regimen this is where you add your masks, acids, peels, exfoliators etc. You do not want to overuse these items!
These are the essentials when it comes to skincare regimens. These are recommendations, not written in stone. You can add eye creams and other items into your regimens as you see fit.
Tell me what you’re regimens look like? What can I assist with in your skincare needs or concerns?
